In Hornstrandir Nature Reserve, Iceland during winter 2022, I was out looking for the rarer blue morph arctic fox whose coat stays dark in winter. During one snow storm, while the world became white, almost completely obscuring the grass and ground around the fox, this female fox stood still, looking at me. A small piece of frozen fish was used as bait.
