Half Moon Island in the South Shetland Islands, off Antarctica, is one of the first places visitors stop after spending days in the drake passage. I tried to capture what it felt like to arrive at Antarctica for the first time with this shot from there, with the snow on the ground, blowing snow in the air, snow-covered, mountains in the background, and a chinstrap penguin amidst it all.
