Snowy Day Nap

In Hornstrandir Nature Reserve, Iceland during winter 2022, I was out looking for the rarer blue morph arctic fox whose coat stays dark in winter. On this cold day with sub-zero temperatures, large snowflakes started falling, and the world looked like a scene from a holiday card. Arctic fox are completely at home in the snow and cold, with their warm fur. This female blue morph arctic fox sat down on the snow and relaxed, practically falling asleep in the gentle snowfall. Small piece of frozen fish used as bait.
